We are looking for someone to join the county team as our international adviser.
The international adviser will be part of the county team and will report to the County Commissioner and Assistant County Commissioner.
This is a fabulous role whose aim is to help as many members as possible to get the best experiences about all things international, whether this is going abroad on an adventure, visiting international camps in the UK or learning about other cultures in unit meetings.
Duties include:
- Attending monthly online region meetings and one face to face meeting
- Work with the county commissioner, assistant county commissioner, staff and any appropriate committees/working groups to deliver the county’s international action plan.
- Report to the county executive committee as appropriate.
- With the help of staff and advisers, use Go! and Join Us data to understand the current membership profile.
- Organise and run an international selection weekend each year for county participants (usually done jointly with Greater Manchester West).
- Work with the Girl experience lead to ensure that international activities are included at county events
- Assist (if available) with the region international selection events
- Work with PR team to ensure that international opportunities are offered as widely as possible through the county in the newsletter and social media.
- Keep up to date with new initiatives nationally and regionally and share these with the county.
- Manage a budget, liaising with the county treasurer, chair of finance and/or county commissioner/assistant county commissioner.
